I thought this was an interesting article on the talent management application space. This has been rapidly evolving over the last few years and I believe it will undergo further consolidation and leaps in productivity / cost per user, especially when you consider the ERP HR dinosaurs.I wonder how ERPs will evolve, especially as the talent management applications become more fully featured. Is it really worth the huge cost and pain of running an ERP for data history or could 80% of the requirements be met with a SaaS application? Now that I'm servicing small and medium sized companies this is a huge issue, especially considering the amount of time consumed with administrivia.
